我是Jana，我的中文名叫木兰。在我来中国之前我一直都是武侠电影迷，来北京后我才真正开始学习中国武术。我喜欢少林功夫，它有很多不同的风格，我还喜欢陈式太极拳，招式非常传统。中国武术非常具有挑战性，我的孩子们当然也很喜欢中国功夫，这是我最大的爱好。

My name is Jana.My Chinese name is Mulan.Before I came to China,I was always a huge fan of martial arts movies.After I came to Beijing that I actually started learning Chinese martial arts.I like Shaolin kung fu.They have so many different styles,and I also like Chen-style tai chi very traditional original style.It's very challenging.The kids,of course,they love kung fu.That's my biggest hobby.

中国传统文化，我认为是神秘中又带有异国情调的，正是这一点非常吸引我。我们在（北京朝阳丽都商圈）阳光上东社区已经住了13年了，我有很多中国朋友，和他们在一起做了很多事情，自然也体验到了一些中国文化。

Traditional Chinese culture,it's exotic in mystical.And I think this is what I find appealing.Ever since we are living in Upper East Side,it's now 13 years.I have also a very big Chinese friends community.So I do a lot of stuff also with them,and naturally somehow maybe I have experienced something about Chinese culture.

我所住的（北京朝阳丽都商圈）阳光上东社区，真的很棒。我真心觉得大家像家人一样，非常亲近，我也不觉得自己是个外国人。

We have a great community in Upper East Side where I'm living right now,where I really feel like people are like family,and so becoming much closer to you.So I don't feel like a foreigner anymore.

我2011年来到北京，从事汽车行业。我们公司的办公室就在北京朝阳，这也是我住在北京朝阳的原因。让我觉得最不可思议的是，我来自德国的一个只有60万人口的小城市，来到北京朝阳感觉就像搬到了一个超大城市，但它又只是北京的一个区，真让人难以置信。我特别喜欢北京朝阳的一点是北京朝阳有许多跨国公司，人们也来自世界各地。

I came to Beijing in 2011.I work for automotive industry.So our company office was in Chaoyang and this is basically why I'm also living in Chaoyang.I think what is really amazing I mean I come from Germany a so small city,in Germany with 600,000 people.And Chaoyang, it's like you're moving to a mega city and it's only a district within Beijing.So it's really overwhelming,and what Ilike about Chaoyang District specifically is that there are many international companies there,but you have also the people are very international.

北京朝阳非常熟悉跨国公司的需求，我们公司历史悠久，我们在中国度过了美好的时光。如今中国企业在电动汽车市场上处于领先地位，也就是说新的电动汽车市场是由中国企业主导的，特别是中国客户对电动汽车连通性和数字化的要求，对于中国客户来说，这些都在汽车上得到了很好地体现，尤其是在电动汽车领域。

The area here is very familiar with international companies and the necessities that they have.We are a very old company.We had great years here in China.Now,Chinese companies are leading in electric vehicle market.So the new electric vehicle market is led by Chinese,especially when you look into the Chinese customers requirements when it comes to connectivity,digitalization.So all that is basically very well executed in the car for Chinese customers and especially in the electric vehicle area.

北京朝阳既有像三里屯、北京CBD等现代化的一面，还有像朝阳公园等这种亲近自然的一面。欧洲人喜欢户外活动，我希望能有一个更自然的环境，我喜欢花草树木和一切绿色的东西，可以坐下来欣赏河景，还可以吃东西。我们所需要的一切都在附近，真是应有尽有，这才是一个理想的定居地，我从没有在一个地方住过这么长时间，显而易见，这里就是我们的家！

I would say this modern city areas like Sanlitun, Beijing CBD,but then you also have the other part of Chaoyang which is Chaoyang park with natural part.Europeans especially they like to be outside,I would like to have a more natural environments.I like flowers and trees and everything that's green.You can sit enjoy the river,but then also have food.Everything I need I have in close distance.The combination of basically having it all.I think it's really what makes it a desirable district to live in.I have never lived in one place for such a long time.It is our home,that's clear.
